DLVE-SLP: Distance Learning in VA Educating Speech Language Pathologists
Special Announcement:
DLVE-SLP will offer another cohort in June 2011 pending continued funding through the Virginia Department of Education. We anticipate that we will begin accepting candidacy packets for the 2011 cohort in October 2010. Additional information regarding application deadlines will be posted on the website in the future.
Objective
This project was created in response to the shortage of qualified speech language pathologists across the country and specifically in the public schools of Virginia. Hampton University, James Madison University, Longwood University and the University of Virginia have teamed together to be able to provide access to an accredited Masters degree in speech language pathology through distance education technologies.
Targeted Applicant
This project is designed for persons interested in earning a Masters degree in speech language pathology on a part time basis through online technology. "Career changers" and educators are encouraged to apply. This project is supported by a grant from the Virginia Department of Education. Virginia state residents will be given first priority.
